Sound

Reads one of six fixed frequency bands from the audio input.

The Sound node is the quickest way to make a parameter audio reactive.

Sound

  • Band, Gain, Decay
  • Found in the node graph under Modifiers → Audio
Example patch — drag onto the app to load

The image on the right is the example patch itself. Drag and drop it onto the app, or load it with File → Load, to open the full graph. The modifier drives the Scale of a Hexagonal generator; it moves when audio input is running.

Parameters

Sound parameters
  • Band — Bass (default), Low Mid, Mid, High Mid, High, Full.
  • Gain (0.1–8, default 1.5).
  • Decay (0–0.99, default 0.85) — how slowly the level falls.

Every slider has a per-parameter animation bar and can itself be driven by another modifier.

Examples

Bass pump — the defaults bound to a generator Scale.

Troubleshooting

Nothing moves — audio input is not running. See Audio Reactive.
